Nitrogen generators have a wide range of applications, such as in the oil and gas industry. During oil and gas extraction, nitrogen serves as a critical energy source to protect the oil production process. It offers high safety performance, strong adaptability, and continuous production capabilities. Additionally, it can be used in industries such as chemicals, metallurgy, coal mining, rubber tires, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. Therefore, nitrogen generators can be utilized in almost all industrial sectors.

I. Key Considerations When Using Nitrogen Generators

1. Purity: Although nitrogen generators automatically vent when purity decreases, it is still important to monitor the purity of the nitrogen generator.

2. Flow rate: Nitrogen generators are equipped with flow meters for monitoring. Regularly check the flow rate readings and the time since the flow meter was last calibrated.

3. Pressure: The outlet pressure reading of a nitrogen generator is typically a stable value.

4. Placement of the nitrogen generator: The area where the nitrogen generator is placed must be well-ventilated and dry. Additionally, the nitrogen generator must be placed at least 50 cm away from walls.

5. The compressed air source and the front-end filtration system must be regularly maintained.

Nitrogen generators

Nitrogen generators are used in the packaging, sintering, annealing, reduction, and storage of electronic products. They are primarily used in industries such as wave soldering, reflow soldering, quartz crystals, piezoelectric devices, electronic ceramics, electronic copper strips, batteries, and electronic alloy materials. The electronics industry typically requires nitrogen with a purity of 99.9%, 99.99%, or higher than 99.99%. Atmospheric protection, cleaning, and chemical recovery in the manufacturing processes of semiconductors and integrated circuits in the electronics industry. Large-scale integrated circuits, color TV picture tubes, television and radio components, and semiconductor component processing

In the production of electronic components and semiconductor components, nitrogen with a purity of 99.999% or higher is required as a protective gas. Currently, China has adopted high-purity nitrogen as a carrier gas and protective gas in the production processes of color TV picture tubes, large-scale integrated circuits, liquid crystal displays, and semiconductor silicon wafers. SMT industry Now, the global manufacturing industry must meet lead-free standards, and an increasing number of manufacturers are using new reflow soldering furnaces with nitrogen options to respond to lead-free initiatives. This is because a nitrogen-based atmosphere prevents metal surfaces from oxidizing during heating. Dürr Gas provides gas solutions that ensure proper activation of the flux, reduce residual flux levels, enhance soldering quality, and make the soldering surface more aesthetically pleasing.

Nitrogen generators can extend the shelf life of food

Nitrogen is an inert gas. In vacuum nitrogen-filled packaging, food is placed into a packaging bag, the air inside the bag is evacuated to achieve the desired vacuum level, then nitrogen is injected, and the sealing process is completed.

Vacuum nitrogen-filled packaging has an attractive and elegant appearance, allowing the true form of the product to be clearly seen. For some fried foods or vegetable chips, vacuum nitrogen-filled packaging can effectively prevent food spoilage or compression, thereby extending storage time.

When using nitrogen, we recommend using a nitrogen generator, as it can directly produce nitrogen. Simply connect it to the packaging machine via a pipeline to produce nitrogen while packaging. Additionally, nitrogen generators operate fully automatically. After turning on the power and gas supply, qualified nitrogen can be produced within 20 minutes, without the need for frequent replacements. Nitrogen can also be stored in a storage tank for use when needed.
