1. Installation Stage of Pressure Swing Adsorption Nitrogen Generator
Site Selection and Preparation
Site Requirements: Select a dry, well-ventilated environment free from corrosive gases and dust, and avoid direct sunlight and rain exposure.
Space Requirements: Leave at least 1 meter of space around the equipment for easy operation and maintenance.
Foundation Requirements: The installation foundation should be flat, sturdy, vibration-free, and capable of withstanding the weight and vibrations of the equipment.
Equipment Positioning and Securing
Place the pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator in the designated location, ensuring the equipment is stable and secure.
Use a level to check if the equipment is level, and adjust as necessary.
Power and Gas Source Connections
Power supply connection: Connect the power cord to the power supply interface of the pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply. Strictly follow the voltage and frequency specifications indicated on the equipment nameplate when configuring the power supply. Voltage fluctuations must not exceed ±10% of the rated voltage. The cross-sectional area of the power supply input cables should be selected according to the rated capacity, and reliable grounding protection measures must be in place.
Air supply connection: Connect the air supply pipeline to the inlet of the pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator, ensuring a secure connection to prevent gas leakage. An air filter should be installed at the inlet to prevent dust and impurities from entering the equipment.
Drainage and wastewater pipeline installation
Drainage pipelines should comply with national standards, avoiding excessive length or diameter to prevent interference with normal drainage.
Drainage pipes should be separated from sewage pipes to prevent sewage and wastewater from polluting the environment.
Silencer Installation
Silencers can be installed indoors or outdoors. When the air compressor and nitrogen generator are in the same room, the silencer should be installed outdoors to avoid affecting nitrogen production.
If the silencer is installed outdoors, it should have rain protection facilities, and its placement height should not exceed the exhaust outlet height; otherwise, wastewater cannot be discharged from the pipeline, potentially causing wastewater backflow.
II. Operational Phase
Pre-Operation Preparation
Equipment Inspection: Confirm that power supply, air supply, and water supply are normal; adsorption towers, pipelines, and valves have no leaks; instruments and gauges are calibrated and in good condition.
Environmental Inspection: Ensure the operating environment is well-ventilated, free of flammable or explosive materials, and that no debris is accumulated around the equipment.
Lubrication and Protection: Inspect the lubrication system to ensure the lubricant level is normal; operators must wear personal protective equipment compliant with national safety standards.
Startup and Operation
Start the Air Compressor: Turn on the power supply, start the air compressor, and supply air to the air buffer tank. Observe the “air pressure gauge” to ensure it reaches above 0.6 MPa.
Starting the nitrogen generator: Click the nitrogen generator start button, and the pressure in the adsorption tower begins to rise.
Parameter adjustment: Adjust the “outlet pressure reducing valve”; when the pressure reaches above 0.4 MPa, adjust the “sample flow meter” to an appropriate value. Slowly open the “outlet control valve” and adjust the flow meter reading to the required flow rate.
Monitoring during operation
Parameter monitoring: Closely monitor parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, and purity to ensure the equipment operates within normal ranges.
Status inspection: Observe the equipment's operational status to ensure there are no abnormal vibrations, noises, or leaks.
Shutdown procedures
Close valves: Close all outlet valves and click the “Stop” button.
Stop the air compressor: Halt the air compressor's operation and shut off the air compressor.
Disconnect power supply: Disconnect the main power supply. Manually drain the air buffer tank and filter (recommended every 10 hours).
III. Precautions
Safety Standards
Electrical Safety: Electrical equipment must comply with national electrical safety standards. Grounding resistance must not exceed 4Ω, and insulation resistance must be no less than 2MΩ (under normal environmental conditions).
Pressure Safety: Implement multiple pressure protection measures, such as safety valves (set to open at 1.1 to 1.15 times the working pressure), and install pressure monitoring instruments to display system pressure in real time.
Operating Procedures: Strictly follow the operating procedures; do not alter operating steps or parameters without authorization.
Emergency Shutdown: In case of an emergency, immediately use the emergency shutdown device to stop the equipment.
Prohibited Operations: During equipment maintenance, repair, or cleaning, operators are prohibited from entering the equipment interior or contacting hazardous areas.
Maintenance and Inspection
Regular Inspections: Conduct regular tests on equipment parameters such as pressure, temperature, and flow rate, inspect the accuracy of instruments, the adsorption effectiveness of adsorbents, and the electrical system.
Replacement of Adsorbents: Regularly inspect molecular sieve adsorbents and replace them promptly if damaged or ineffective.
Cleaning and Lubrication: Regularly clean the air filter to maintain clean air; clean, lubricate, and inspect the equipment, addressing any issues promptly.
